Monthly Archives: January 2014

A group of 10 pupils, who attended Hockey Club last summer, went to a Quickstick Hockey event on Friday 24th January. The event took place at Nonsuch High and was attended by a total of 9 schools.

The children took part in different skill activities with Year 12 Leaders from Nonsuch and then in a tournament against the other schools.

We won 4, drew 1 and lost 3 out of our 8 games. Losing our last two games 1 – 0, knocking us back slightly in the league table. We ended up with an impressive total of 23 points (5 points for a win, 3 points for a draw and 1 point for a loss if over 50% of opposition score). We missed out on 4th place by 1 point, 3rd by 2 points and 2nd by 3 points. Very close!

All the children played really well and it was another great experience to be able to play on astroturf. Congratulations to all involved!
