After a heavy 6 – 0 defeat to the same team last week in the League Playoff Finals, it would have been easy for the team to have gone into the game with a lack of confidence. The team gave up their lunch times this week to train in preparation for the final. The extra training certainly paid off! In a fantastic game of football, the girls came out on top and won 5 – 4. They were crowned Borough Cup Champions for the second year in a row.   Well done to the whole squad and thanks to all the parents who came along to support. We are very proud of you girls!

IMG_2918IMG_2919Avenue started the game started and conceded a goal in the opening minute. As the first half went on the team starting to gain more possession of the ball and put good pressure onto the opposition. At half-time, Avenue were two goals down. In the second half,  we had a few injuries and Cheam Common took their chances well. Cheam Common won the game 6 – 0. The girls didn’t give up and there was lots of very positive moments in the game. It was a very competitive game, although the scoreline doesn’t suggest that. The team just couldn’t get enough clear chances on goal. Well done to the whole squad! A great achievement and a fantastic season in league. Thanks for all your support!
